Okay, so its your first night in Marbella, we do things slightly different here. Being the most upmarket resort we offer lets start off with some cocktails around the pool at the hotel. Once all the new arrivals are here we will head out for a few sophisticated drinks or 10.
After a heavy night theres no better hangover cure than sunbathing around the pool with a ice cold cocktail. Recharge the batteries ready for a family meal in one of Marbella’s best spots followed by one or two cocktails. Now that we have the first big night out of your system its time to get working on that dream summer job, so have a quiet one and make sure you're up early.
Fix up, look sharp, this morning is all about securing that perfect job you have dreamt about! Remember you only get one change to make a first impression. After a long morning on the job hunt its time to continue the party. Its time to hit up Ocean Beach Club, this place needs no introduction. Remember, dress to impress.
After an action packed first few days its time to chill, nothing beats a Sunday pool day, pop the top off a corona sit back and relax. as the sun starts to set we light up the BBQ for an all you can eat feast the perfect way to cap off your first few days in the Marbs sun.

The end of your first week is finally here and we hope it has been everything you dreamt it would be! Lets cap the week of in true Summer Takeover style with a cocktail crawl. What better way to top your first week off in style with you new ST family.
Hopefully you have now secured your dream job working in Marbella, however if not please don’t hesitate to speak to your reps they are there to help you every step of the way. For those looking stay longer than the first month we have a limited number of spaces available for ST guests throughout June.
As a Holiday Rep, you’ll be the life and soul of the party and responsible for ensuring thousands of guests have the holiday of a lifetime. You’ll need to be calm under pressure and ready to go the extra mile whenever necessary. If you’re outgoing, friendly and ready to party 24/7, then a resort job is the one for you.
As a member of Event Staff you’ll be involved in helping to run some of the island’s biggest events. You will be working closely alongside the management to ensure that the events run smoothly but most importantly, that guests are having a good time. This is one of the most sought after seasonal jobs to do!
Bar work is a popular choice for summer work. You’ll be working in some of the best bars and clubs in the resort, serving anything from local beer to exotic cocktails and everything in between. Experience is preferred but not essential – as long as you’re quick on your feet and good with numbers, this is the perfect resort job for you!
You’ll be spending the summer months approaching tourists offering great drinks deals to get them into the bar or club. Confidence is key in this job but as long as you’re outgoing and friendly you will love it!
Ticket selling is extremely rewarding if you are motivated to get out and sell! Your job is to find potential customers who are interested in events in the resort such as Booze Cruises and Bar Crawls!
You’ll find work in lively bars and clubs selling shots to groups of tourists. If you’re outgoing and have a fun nature, then this could be the perfect summer job for you!
A very popular summer work role for people who prefer nights off! You could find yourself attracting people into the restaurant, waitering/waitressing or even in the kitchen. A big smile goes a long way in this summer job!
Glass collectors should be fast on their feet and willing to work hard in a busy environment. As you may have guessed, your job is to collect empty bottles and glasses to ensure a quick turn around at the bar.
This one is self-explanatory! Experience is pretty much essential but the opportunities for summer work are endless. Your job will consist of dancing on stages, podiums or even bar tops and is not for the fainthearted!
As a VIP host you will be serving VIP guests in clubs and on events, usually selling bottles of spirits and champagne that you can make extra commission on as well as your standard wage. The tips are usually pretty good too!
To find work as a DJ experience is essential. You need to be confident playing and mixing records in bars and clubs across the resort and be able to create an atmosphere to keep people dancing all night!

Summer takeover is not one to miss out on! Met some great people who have become friends for life and had some unreal moments when I was away with the company! I'll be looking to do it all over again.
I went on the 16th of may, was a bit quiet at the start but couple weeks later it got rammed with workers and tourist's. I Had the privilege to work for tidal for the season it was insane. Met so many great people and i have life long friends from it, defiantly doing it again next season. Peace

This was definitely a summer to remember. Summer takeover were a massive help on the job front and great people who you could speak to whether you just wanted a chat or if you had a problem. Very friendly and would recommend anyone who want to go out and work through ST. They provided me a job on Tidal as a VIP host and it was hands down the best job on the island, making friends for life.
If you have a taste for the finer things in life and want to make the most of the privileges that come alongside working for an elite club or bar, then jobs in Marbella are for you. Unashamedly glamorous, appearance is everything. If you can preen yourself for work even with the worst hangover, you’ll do just fine.
The majority of Summer Takeover guests travel solo, so if you’re nervous about heading out on your own don’t panic! Once you’ve secured your place you’ll be added into a private Facebook group, and given login details for our very own workers social network, SummerSphere, so you can get chatting to all the other guests before you go.

You can work until your heart’s content from May - September. Our packages suit all arrival dates, so it all depends on when you want to go.
For the die-hards that want to maximise their summer and do a full season, get yourself out there as early as possible. Marbella will always be busy, so don’t worry if you can’t go out until later on. July/August is peak season with sky high temperatures, if you want to stay on after this our talented reps will be able to scout out further accommodation for you, so you can see in the closing parties in style!
With many roles being commissioned based, the earning potential for wages in Marbella is massive. Granted, you’ll probably need this, as the cost of living is comparatively higher than our other resorts, but tips are extremely generous so don’t be surprised when you’re being handed multiple notes as a thank you for your hard work.
Hours and shifts will vary depending on your job of choice for working in Marbella. Ticket sellers can expect to be out enhancing their tan on the job, whilst bar workers will obviously start later. The average shift is between 4-6 hours, leaving you with plenty of time post shift to party in the infamous nightclubs like Olivia Valère, Tibu and Funky Buddha.

After the initial 28 days you’ll have the option to extend your stay in our accommodation at a discounted rate, or our devoted reps can assist in finding alternative accommodation if you’d prefer.
If you are an EU national and/or hold a passport issued in an EU country you will likely not need to concern yourself with a work permit/visa however we would always advise you to check this prior to travel.
